Q: Why did you become an agent, and how long have you been in this industry?
A: I got started in this industry because of my mother, who is an insurance agent. When we were stuck at home during the COVID pandemic, it was difficult for her to meet up with new clients, so I stepped in to help out and decided I wanted to be an agent, too. We moved to an online business model, which opened my mother’s eyes to the new opportunities available to us through innovation. For example, I am currently located in Miami, but I serve consumers in 40 states! I started selling IFP in 2021 and have been happy to see so many satisfied clients in the past 3 years.
Q: Why do you recommend UnitedHealthcare Individual & Family plans to consumers?
A: I think it’s more important to provide consumers with the solution that is best for them, as opposed to simply seeking out the cheapest option. UnitedHealthcare IFP might not always be the cheapest option, but they offer a variety of tools to help members that other plans usually don’t have. Additionally, UnitedHealthcare has a large network of clinics and providers, meaning I don’t have to worry if a client’s needs are being met, even if they live in a remote area. Other carriers might sell plans in the area, but don’t actually have a network to support it, which impacts client satisfaction.
Q: How have UnitedHealthcare’s Individual & Family plans benefitted your clients?
A: When my clients choose UnitedHealthcare IFP, it eliminates any worries I might have about whether or not the plan is going to do the right thing for them – like offer the coverage they need, as well as provide a wide selection of available providers – which makes clients feel more confident. Once they have been established as a member, they become even more confident in the plan and typically do not want to switch to another carrier.
Q: What do you enjoy doing for fun when you’re not helping your clients?
A: I like to travel and enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities; I like going to any sort of venue in the sun! I love going to the beach, boating, and playing sports – especially baseball.
Q: What is your favorite quote or mantra?
A: People don’t get rewarded for effort, they get rewarded for results.
