Successor Agent program
The Individual & Family Plans (IFP) Successor Agent program can help you plan for the future. Through this program, the Agent of Record (AOR) can transfer their book of business to an eligible successor agent/agency when exiting the business. This can be beneficial in instances such as:
- Exiting the business (e.g., retirement or illness)
- Maintaining continuity of past business written as an individual by enacting a successor agreement to your own corporation
- Death of an agent
When considering your long-term planning options for maintenance of your business, the Successor Agent program may be an appropriate option for you. General eligibility requirements must be met for the original AOR and the successor agent/agency to be approved.
For details about the Successor Agent program and requirements, review Section 2: On-Boarding and Readiness in the IFP Agent Guide by going to Jarvis > Knowledge Center > Training & Guides.
If you have additional questions, you may contact the Successor hotline at 1-888- 240-9165.
